How to Make a Popsicle Stick Piano
Who doesn’t have fond memories of nibbling the last bits of that summer snack off the stick? What was your favorite? Chocolate glazed ice cream? A frozen popsicle? My absolute favorite was the sherbert-like Push-Ups. Those were likely the closest I ever got to exercise. (sigh)
This Mr Mash video on YouTube shows you how to use popsicle sticks to make a piano (or kalimba?). Finally a project for that box of 1000 popsicle sticks that you bought!!
Quite frankly, I think sticks this size are called “tongue-depressors” but who wants to think about that doctor making you gag just to look at your tonsils?
We sell popsicle sticks, both standard and jumbo. We don’t sell the screws and wood. Just sayin.
We here in the shop have also used popsicle sticks to make floorboards in dollhouses or even entire buildings. Below are photos of a display we made for the local Commissary’s meat section. A lot of love went into it.
Obviously, more than just popsicle sticks and paint went into this, but it was mostly scrap-materials that made the buildings.
