This is a great 25-minute video from Gretchen Hirsch to get you to take that sewing machine out of your closet and get started. This class is particularly helpful for those of you who own a top-loading machine, meaning the bobbin is dropped in from above, rather than in the front.

She is using an Elna, so the thread spool is horizontal. This is a minor point and shouldn’t be a show-stopper if your spools are vertical. Just keep on trucking!
